Waterborne PU leather is what leather, do not say you certainly do not know

Nowadays, when you buy bags online, you will often see that the material is PU, PU is polyurethane, and PU skin is the skin of polyurethane. In our country, people used to call the artificial leather made from PVC resin as PVC artificial leather (referred to as artificial leather); the artificial leather made from PU resin as water-borne PU leather; the artificial leather made from PU resin and non-woven fabric as water-borne PU leather (referred to as synthetic leather).

From the analysis of domestic and foreign markets, synthetic leather has also replaced the natural leather with insufficient resources. Artificial leather and synthetic leather have been increasingly recognized in the market as decorative materials for bags, clothing, shoes, vehicles and furniture. Their wide range of applications, large number and variety are beyond the satisfaction of traditional natural leather.

Waterborne PU leather usually has a cloth base (or knitted cloth base) on the back, which can be seen with the eyes. It can also be distinguished by burning and melting. If a small piece of fabric is put on the fire, the leather will not melt, while the waterborne PU leather will melt.

The difference between PVC artificial leather and water-borne PU leather can be made by soaking in gasoline. The method is to use a small piece of fabric, put it in gasoline for half an hour, and then take it out. If it is PVC artificial leather, it will become hard and brittle; if it is water-based Pu leather, it will not become hard and brittle.

PU leather and leather bags have their own characteristics. PU leather bags are beautiful in appearance, easy to handle, low in price, but not wear-resistant and fragile; leather is expensive, troublesome to handle, but durable.
