Method for identifying water-based PU leather, solvent PU leather and Genuine Leather

Many people can’t identify the difference between water-based PU leather, solvent PU leather, and Genuine Leather. Below Huai’an KAIYUE Technology Company introduces the three methods of water-based synthetic leather,  solvent PU leather, and Genuine Leather

Hand touch: touch the surface of the leather. If it is smooth, soft, and elastic, it is a water-based PU synthetic leather. The solvent PU leather has a blemish, a rigid plate and poor softness.

Watching: the Genuine Leather surface has clear hair and pattern, the yellow cowhide has a relatively fine pores, the yak leather has thick and sparse pores, and the goat skin has fish scales. Water-based synthetic leather can also achieve the same texture and effect as leather.

Smell: Genuine Leather has a animal odor; solvent PU leather has a strong pungent plastic odor; and water-based PU synthetic leather is highly breathable, contains no harmful chemicals, and has no pungent odor.

Ignite: Tear off a bit of fibre from the back of Genuine Leather and artificial leather. After igniting, if it smells hair, it is dermis that is not hard.

Identifying Genuine Leather and synthetic leather is basically the above four methods.

In addition, the use of water-based synthetic leather has the following advantages:
